Assembler in Cedar Springs, Michigan at J-Star Motion Corporation

Position Summary:
Work as part of a team having responsibility for assembling an entire product or component of a product.

Essential Responsibilities:
1. Set up equipment
2. Perform quality checks on products and parts
3. Inserting spindles into the painted metal motor housing tube and tighten using a cordless impact drill
4. Applying grease to the inside of the tubes using a rotary tool
5. Placing painted metal tubes into a nesting fixture
6. Selecting and applying the proper plastic components allowing smooth slide of columns
7. Assembling of all tubes and securing the spindle in place using a cordless impact drill
8. Installing the drive motor and plastic housing cover
9. Testing the actuation of the lifting column using test equipment
10. Inspection and packaging of columns
11. Palletizing of product
Physical Requirements
1. Continuous simple grasping.
2. Frequent pushing, pulling, bending at waist level, twisting at waist level, reaching at waist level, reaching below waist level,
3. Occasional power grasping, squatting, reaching above shoulder level
4. Occasional ability to lift 50 lbs.

Non-Essential Responsibilities:

1. Shovel, sweep, or otherwise clean work areas.
2. Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.
3. Performing other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:
1. High School diploma, GED
