Radiologic Technologist at Shore Medical Center – Somers Point, New Jersey

PT Position, 2-3 days a Week

General Summary

Works under the supervision of physicians and the practice manager.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Provides comprehensive care to patient requiring medical imaging services in an organized and systematic manner according to established departmental policies and procedures
• Accepts responsibility for appropriate and safe use of equipment and resources, and accurately performing radiographic procedures
• Instructs the patients to undergo the appropriate positions to get accurate images
• Keeping radiographic equipment in quality working order
• Obtaining images for any areas requested by the physician or radiologist
• Maintains appropriate record keeping
• Preventing exposure from certain areas of the patient's body to avoid radiation exposure
• Daily resource management (time, materials, supplies, equipment)
• Demonstrates the ability and competency to respond quickly and efficiently in emergency situations
• Other similar and related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• Previous experience in Radiology with proficiency in X-Ray
• Graduate of approved school of Radiology and NJ State licensed.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, medical practice services and routines
• Certified AART and BLS
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities
• Experience working with Electronic Medical Record system (Athena preferred), medical charts.
• Strong customer service skills
• Reliable transportation; travel between office locations may be required.

Salary Range (Based on Experience)

• $30.93 - $39.66
