Pharmacy Technician Supervisor at Access Health Louisiana – Luling, Louisiana

As a Pharmacy Technician Supervisor you will oversee the work of the team of Pharmacy Tech(s) that assist the Pharmacist with the dispensing of medicine to patients. Also, the Pharmacy Tech Supervisor will manage the daily workflow of the department, Prepare schedules and conduct written performance evaluations of the Technicians. This position will support the Pharmacy Manager and other Pharmacy Support Staff.

Required Qualifications:

• Active Louisiana Pharmacy Technician License (in good standing)
• Active PTCB
• 2 years of experience working in a Retail / Community Pharmacy.
• 340B Experience (recommended)
• Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours
• Bilingual (preferred)

Primary Duties: will include:

• Oversees all operations and workflows of Pharmacy
• Effectively manages employees Technicians, and Cashiers.
• Trains and develops employees in their roles to perform to meet the expectations
• Reviews employee performance through a formal annual review process
• Addresses complaints and resolves issues.
• Performs data entry updating any patient demographics, insurance, and clinical information needed to process a prescription
• Ability to effectively communicate to screen patients for patient assistance and enroll in appropriate patient assistant programs.
• Promptly answer phones and efficiently complete outbound calls
• Count and dispense proper dosage forms, following all local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
• Follows up with any complex prescriptions that require additional information from insurance plans
• Maintains cleanliness of work area and equipment.
• Upholds patients’ rights including privacy and confidentiality.
• Provides the ability to assist customers with their questions or concerns. Treating customers in a friendly and helpful manner and maintaining a positive attitude.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
