About This Position

Position Details

We are looking for a Mechanical Field Services Representative to join our team at AME Group. In this role, you will work directly with AME’s Engineering Design team and installation contractors on the job site to ensure quality and accuracy of the mechanical work, as well as assist in finding solutions to challenges that arise along the way. Creative thinking and a proactive attitude, along with good communication, organizational and report writing skills, are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform field reviews of building mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, building controls, etc. to evaluate progress and installation quality.
  • Prepare field reports and construction administration documentation.
  • Provide PEER reviews of mechanical systems pertaining to installation and operation, detailed drawings, and specifications.
  • Represent the company at construction meetings with other design professionals
  • Contribute to developing the company’s QA-QC guidelines, design checklists, etc.
  • Report any site or design related issues back to the design team.
  • Comply with the company’s QA-QC standards and processes, such that the company’s quality goals are maintained.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Trades program or practical on-site experience.
  • Minimum 10 years experience in construction industry, with mechanical background.
  • Minimum Class 5 driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Knowledge of building codes and standards.
  • Proficient in reading mechanical, Architectural, Electrical and Structural drawings.
