About the RoleRedhorse Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our team supporting the United States Central Command (USCENTCOM) Directorate of Logistics (CCJ4). You will play a critical role in accelerating the delivery of AI-enabled capabilities within the Joint Logistics Common Operating Picture (JLOGCOP), directly impacting USCENTCOM's ability to promote international cooperation, respond to crises, deter aggression, and build resilient logistics capabilities for our partners. This is a high-impact role contributing to national security and global stability. You will be working on a custom build of AI/ML capabilities into the JLOGCOP leveraging dozens of data feeds to enhance decision-making and accelerate planning for USCENTCOM missions.Key Responsibilities

You will be working on a custom build of AI/ML capabilities into the JLOGCOP leveraging dozens of data feeds to enhance decision-making and accelerate planning for USCENTCOM missions.Key Responsibilities
- Communicate with the client regularly regarding enterprise values and project direction.
- Find the intersection between business value and achievable technical work.
- Articulate and translate business questions into technical solutions using available DoD data.
- Explore datasets to find meaningful entities and relationships.
- Create data ingestion and cleaning pipelines.
- Develop applications and effective visualizations to communicate insights.
- Serve as an ambassador for executive DoD leadership to sponsor data literacy growth across the enterprise.
- US citizen with a Secret US government clearance. Applicants who are not US Citizens and who do not have a current and active Secret security clearance will not be considered for this role.
- Ability to work independently to recommend solutions to the client and as part of a team to accomplish tasks.
- Experience with functional programming (Python, R, Scala) and database languages (SQL).
- Familiarity using AI/ML tools to support logistics use cases.
- Ability to discern which statistical approaches are appropriate for different contexts.
- Experience communicating key findings with visualizations.
- 8+ years of professional experience.
- Masters degree in a quantitative discipline (Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, etc.).
- Experience with cloud-based development platforms.
- Experience with large-scale data processing tools.
- Experience with data visualization tools.
- Ph.D. in a quantitative discipline (Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, etc.).
