About the Role:
CrowdStrike is looking for a Senior Accountant that can play an integral role in our monthly financial close process. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of work experience which includes accounting operations, month-end close, and managing complex projects. Experience managing infrastructure accounting is a plus. We are looking for a team player with a positive attitude and creativity, that is deadline and detail oriented and possesses the ability to think and react quickly. You should have the ability to interact with cross functional teams, including Engineering, Product Management, Sales, Sales Operations, Billing, and Legal. We are currently looking for candidates that can be based out of our Sunnyvale, CA Headquarters.
What You'll Do:
Track and capitalize eligible internal-use software development costs and calculate amortization of capitalized software assets
Analyze development costs to determine proper accounting treatment (expense vs. capitalize)
Maintain detailed records of capitalized software projects and their components
Collaborate with other departments to ensure that business transactions are appropriately accounted for
Work closely with the India shared services center team on overall internal-use software and cash accounting
Perform monthly journal entries related to software capitalization and amortization
Perform analysis on internal-use software accounts to identify any potential adjustment or reason for MoM variance.
Prepare account reconciliations for balance sheet accounts to support recorded balances and track activity
Participate in the monthly accounting close process and MoM variances based on trend
Document accounting policies and procedures for internal-use software
Manage and reconcile all cash accounts in the general ledger
Process and record cash receipts and disbursements
Perform daily cash position reporting and cash flow analysis
Prepare bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
Monitor and record intercompany cash transactions
Assist in development and documentation of processes and procedures, monitoring of internal controls and identification of opportunities for efficiencies
Support audit requirements and provide documentation for internal and external auditors
Ensure global consistency in accounting process and practice where possible
Perform accounting processes in compliance with SOX
Ad hoc projects, as deemed necessary
Continuously identify and develop solutions for process improvement.
Assist with accounting integration activities, which includes implementing a variety of finance and accounting related software solutions.
Experience deploying AI tools to create workflows a plus (Alteryx, etc)
What You’ll Need:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline required.
Strong understanding of US GAAP.
3-5 years of experience in a similar role and CPA is a plus.
Candidate should be self-motivated, able to effectively prioritize responsibilities, work within tight deadlines, and work in a dynamic environment.
Superior poise and professionalism.
Must be able to think outside the box, work independently with general supervision, be a team player, and willing to contribute beyond the defined role to meet business needs as circumstances require.
Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement.
Bonus Points:
High-tech, start-up and/or rapid growth company experience preferred.
Advanced Microsoft Word and Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP functions, etc.) a Plus.
ERP (accounting software package) experience is required. NetSuite experience is preferred.

Placement within the pay range is dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications, job level, supervisory status, and location.
