About This Position

Title: Sustainability Data Intern

Position Type: Intern

Reporting Location: In-Person or Remote

Salary:  $25/hour; 40 hours per week

Start Date: ASAP

OVERVIEW

Verdani Partners is seeking a motivated Engineering Intern to join our technical services team. They will be responsible for collecting building level utility data, working in ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager, and other data management tasks as needed.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree, Majors: Environmental Science or Engineering, Energy Management, or related fields

  • Excel and data management skills

  • Strong team player

  • Excellent time management and ability to balance competing priorities

  • Interest in the fields of Sustainability, building efficiency, and/or data management

Preferred:

  • ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager experience

  • Experience with data requests from utility companies

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

During the execution of job responsibilities, the employee should expect the following conditions and demands associated with the role:

  • Remaining in a stationary position for prolonged periods of time at a desk and working on a computer

  • Repetitive motions involving the wrists, hands, and/or fingers

  • Occasional light to moderate lifting, bending, stooping, kneeling, or crouching may be necessary

  • Close vision requirements due to computer work

  • Adequate hearing for effective communication in-person and/or on the telephone

  • Ability to move objects weighting up to 25 pounds occasionally, 10 pounds frequently, and/or 5 pounds continuously.

  • The job is performed indoors in a traditional office setting where moderate noise levels may be present.
