Description:

Join a Team That Helps Young Families Thrive

At Volunteers of America (VOA), our work is rooted in the belief that every young parent deserves safety, stability, and the opportunity to build a healthy, independent future. Through programs like Alexandria’s House, we walk alongside young mothers and their children—offering encouragement, structure, and a nurturing place to call home.

Our team is compassionate, mission-focused, and deeply committed to creating positive change. We care about the individuals we serve, and we support one another as colleagues. If you’re someone who values meaningful work, connection, and purpose, we invite you to consider joining us.

Alexandria’s House Support Staff play an essential role in creating a safe, supportive environment for young mothers and their children. In this role, you’ll help residents develop the skills they need to move toward independence—such as parenting, daily living routines, and household responsibilities—while offering steady encouragement every step of the way.

Support Staff build trusting, respectful relationships with residents and provide coaching through everyday challenges. Grounded in positive youth development principles, you’ll help foster a warm, structured atmosphere where young families can feel supported and empowered. This role also includes helping maintain the cleanliness, safety, and overall upkeep of the home.
