Our mission is to make life better by connecting people through innovative communication systems.We are seeking a Senior Operations Manager-Wireless who will provide strategic oversight and direct management for the Project Management and Project Supervisor teams, as well as the Construction Quality Control and Construction Management teams. This senior leadership role is crucial for ensuring the successful execution of wireless and Build-to-Suit projects, driving high standards in construction quality control, optimizing A&E service delivery, and ultimately ensuring the achievement of wireless project goals. The SOM focuses on maintaining operational excellence, fostering team development, and resolving complex issues to ensure seamless project delivery and profitability.
ResponsibilitiesProvide strong leadership, mentorship, and guidance to Project Managers, Project Supervisors, Wireless Quality Control Specialists, and all supervisory teams, while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Drive the success of wireless and BTS projects by ensuring adherence to high standards in construction quality control and the efficient delivery of A&E services. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for project delivery, quality, and team efficiency. Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve overall service delivery. Conduct regular performance reviews, identify training needs, and support the professional growth of team members. Resolve issues from direct reports, escalating complex challenges to the Director of Construction Management when necessary. Collaborate with Wireless CAD, Site Acquisition, Construction Management, Business Partners, and Customers in all areas of responsibility to implement the best solutions. Provide expert guidance and support on complex project issues, scope changes, and risk mitigation strategies. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and client-specific requirements across all projects. Oversee project tracking, scheduling, and documentation, ensuring accurate and timely updates in client portals and internal systems. Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement best practices to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate processes and ensure seamless coordination between departments. Upload documents and manage internal SharePoint folders. Ensure final approval of all client deliverables. Ensure confidentiality of company information. Individuals in this role receive privileged access and are assigned specialized training at least once a year. Perform other related duties assigned by management. QualificationsBachelor's or Master’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related field preferred. 7-10 years of progressive experience in wireless telecommunications operations or project management, with 3-5 years in a senior leadership or management role overseeing multiple teams or programs. Demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale wireless and Build-to-Suit projects, including strong understanding of A&E services, construction quality control, and project delivery methodologies. Previous experience with major wireless carriers such as AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, or Dish/Boost. Relevant safety certifications (e.g., OSHA 30, RF Safety, CPR, First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogen trained) preferred. Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop a team of project managers, supervisors, and quality control specialists. High proficiency in project management software, client portals, and Microsoft Office Suite. Technical proficiency in wireless standards and advanced proficiency in industry-specific tools (e.g., Bluebeam, JMA Upconverter, CommScope RET, R56 Grounding Standards). Expert knowledge of wireless telecommunication equipment, design, construction, and quality standards. Comprehensive understanding of the wireless industry, including infrastructure development processes, site acquisition, zoning, permitting, civil construction, and radio frequency equipment installation. Excellent strategic planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare comprehensive reports and plans, and conduct effective presentations. Highly responsible, resourceful, accurate, dependable, and self-motivated. The ability to embrace corporate values, understand the company's mission, and exemplify CCI leadership behaviors. Shift is full-time Monday – Friday between the hours of 8:00 am – 5:00 pm MST. Must be flexible and willing to work outside normal business hours as necessary.
Additional InformationApproximately 50% travel may be required. Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
