About the Role:
The Security Flex Officer plays a critical role in maintaining the safety and security of various facilities and personnel across multiple locations within the United States. This position requires adaptability and flexibility to respond to diverse security needs, including patrolling, monitoring surveillance equipment, and managing access control. The officer will be responsible for identifying and mitigating potential security risks, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations. By acting as a visible deterrent to unauthorized activities and responding promptly to incidents, the Security Flex Officer helps create a secure environment for employees, visitors, and assets. Ultimately, this role supports the organization's commitment to safety and operational continuity through vigilant and proactive security measures.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid security officer license or certification as required by the state of employment.
- Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Physical capability to perform patrol duties, including standing and walking for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in security or law enforcement roles.
- First aid and CPR certification.
- Familiarity with security technology such as CCTV, access control systems, and alarm monitoring.
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular patrols of assigned premises to detect and prevent security breaches or suspicious activities.
- Monitor surveillance systems and alarm panels to identify and respond to security incidents in real-time.
- Control access to facilities by verifying credentials and maintaining visitor logs to ensure authorized entry.
- Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies, including medical incidents, fire alarms, and security threats.
- Prepare detailed incident reports and communicate findings to management and law enforcement as necessary.
- Collaborate with other security personnel and departments to coordinate security efforts and share critical information.
- Maintain a professional and approachable demeanor while interacting with employees, visitors, and contractors.
