This role offers the opportunity to operate at the core of auto physical damage evaluation in a fully remote environment, supporting insurers, repair shops, and claim stakeholders with accurate, compliant, and high-quality appraisal work. You will play a critical part in ensuring fair and efficient claims resolution by applying deep technical expertise in vehicle damage assessment and insurance processes. You will be responsible for delivering accurate auto physical damage appraisals and evaluations while ensuring compliance with regulatory, contractual, and internal quality standards. You will also play a key role in maintaining service excellence, improving operational efficiency, and supporting dispute resolution across stakeholders.
- Deliver high-quality auto physical damage appraisals, audits, and evaluations in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Ensure accuracy and consistency in estimates, applying strong technical judgment in damage assessment decisions
- Maintain and improve service levels aligned with contractual SLAs and performance expectations
- Use advanced negotiation skills to resolve disputes with repair shops, carriers, and claimants while managing cost control
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity and efficiency through process optimization and technology use
- Maintain required licensing and complete ongoing professional development and continuing education
- Support a safe, compliant, and efficient remote working environment
You bring solid experience in auto insurance, appraisal, or collision repair environments, combined with strong analytical ability and technical estimating expertise. You are comfortable working independently in a virtual setup while managing multiple systems and high-detail workflows.
- 3+ years of experience in insurance carrier, automotive appraisal, or body shop estimating/review roles
- Active adjuster license in your home state or designated equivalent where applicable
- High school diploma required; advanced education or technical training preferred
- Strong knowledge of electronic estimating systems and multi-platform computer tools
- Excellent analytical and mathematical reasoning skills
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities for professional stakeholder interaction
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and work ethic
- Ability to maintain focus and productivity during extended computer-based work sessions
- Preferred experience in specialty or heavy equipment appraisal environments
