About This Position
Overview:
Lincoln Leadership Academy Charter School is seeking qualified and reliable Substitute Teachers on a per diem basis. Substitute Teachers will provide instruction and maintain a positive learning environment in the absence of the regular classroom teacher and be enthusiastic about making a positive impact in urban communities.
Key Responsibilities:
Instructional Delivery:
- Deliver lesson plans and instructional activities provided by the absent classroom teacher
- Provide instruction and facilitate learning experiences in accordance with school policies and procedures
Classroom Management:
- Manage classroom behavior and ensure a safe and productive learning environment
- Implement classroom rules and expectations to maintain order and discipline
Adaptability:
- Adapt teaching strategies and instructional materials to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Follow classroom procedures and routines established by the regular classroom teacher
Communication:
- Communicate effectively with school administrators, staff, and students
- Provide feedback and report any concerns or issues to the appropriate school personnel
Flexibility:
- Be available to work on short notice and accommodate varying assignments and grade levels
- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in responding to changing classroom environments and instructional needs
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (required).
- Previous experience working with children or youth preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow lesson plans and classroom routines.
- Clearances: FBI fingerprints, PA state background check, child abuse history clearance, and a physical examination
