About This Position
Immanuel Christian School is seeking a High School Theatre Director. The director will lead and manage all components of a spring high school theatre production. The director should believe that the arts are a means of honoring God and student formation.
Primary Responsibilities
This role includes but is not limited to:
- developing artistic vision and leadership
- choosing, casting, and creating a show that aligns with ICS values
- directing students and nurturing talent in students
- building a strong volunteer base of students and parents to assist with costumes, sets, etc.
- production management, including logistics and communication between students, faculty, theatre rentals, set builders, and costume committees
- creating (or delegating the creation of) sets, costumes, and props
- coordinating ticket sales and publicity
- coordinating front-of-house logistics
- Valuable strengths include: creativity, problem solving, collaboration, effective communication, and organization
- Ability to lead, mentor, and build meaningful relationships with high school students
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Commitment to supporting the mission and values of Immanuel Christian School
- Prior theatre experience preferred
