Responsibilities:

• Oversee both new and ongoing research and development initiatives, including assigning formulation requests and managing product development from initial concept through commercialization.
• Supervise and support team members to ensure project deadlines are met, while fostering a collaborative environment focused on innovation, continuous learning, and constructive feedback.
• Collaborate closely with internal departments such as Quality, Procurement, Sales, Operations, and Project Management to ensure alignment and effective communication across all stages of product development.
• Develop product formulations, perform potency calculations, document raw materials, define product specifications, provide manufacturing instructions, and manage product costing.
• Facilitate seamless transitions from laboratory development to pilot and full-scale manufacturing by partnering with operations and quality teams.
• Design and develop dietary supplement formats, with a primary focus on tablets, capsules, and powders.
• Participate in client meetings, product trials, and collaborate directly with customers to create customized formulation solutions.
• Provide post-launch technical support, resolve formulation or production challenges, and assess the feasibility of new product concepts.
• Lead innovation initiatives by evaluating new ingredients, technologies, and market trends, aligning product development opportunities with business goals.
• Maintain high standards of professionalism, accuracy, organization, and strong analytical and communication skills in all aspects of work.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Chemistry, or a related field, with 5-10 years of relevant industry experience.
• 5-10 years of experience in the development of nutritional or dietary supplement products.
• Strong understanding of cGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) regulations.
• In-depth knowledge of dietary supplement ingredients and their effectiveness.
• Demonstrated commitment to quality, with attention to detail and continuous improvement.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English (bilingual Spanish is a plus).
• Proven ability to collaborate professionally with individuals at all organizational levels.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple, fast-changing priorities.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and technologies related to product performance and scalability.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining productivity.
• Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25lbs as needed.
