The mission of the Payroll & Payable Analyst at Cozey
As a Payroll & Payable Analyst reporting to Liliana Alvarez, Accounts Payable Supervisor, your mission is to ensure payroll is accurate, timely, and reliable, while supporting efficient and well-controlled accounts payable operations.
What you'll be doing
Payroll (60%)
- Support and execute components of bi-weekly payroll for Canadian and US employees, ensuring data accuracy in Rippling
- Maintain accurate employee payroll records, including new hire setup, terminations, compensation changes, and leave adjustments
- Assist with source deduction remittances, year-end filings (T4s, ROEs, W-2s), and payroll reconciliations
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries in a timely and professional manner, escalating complex issues as needed
- Follow established payroll checklists and protocols to ensure consistency and compliance
- Assist in the administration of employee benefits, including enrollments, changes, and coordination with providers
Payable (40%)
- Review and process vendor invoices in accordance with established procedures
- Match invoices to purchase orders and verify accuracy and completeness
- Identify discrepancies and proactively follow up to ensure timely resolution
- Collaborate with internal teams (operations, procurement, finance) to resolve invoice and payment issues
- Contribute to improving payable processes and data accuracy over time
We'd love to hear from you if you have
- 0–2 years of experience in payroll, HR administration, or benefits coordination
- Experience with an HRIS or payroll platform (Rippling is a strong asset)
- Basic knowledge of Canadian payroll; exposure to US payroll or benefits is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Clear and professional communication skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, process-driven, and collaborative environment
