Industrial Maintenance Tech III
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of industrial equipment and facility infrastructure through preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance. The role provides technical support to production teams, contributes to continuous improvement initiatives, and helps optimize processes to achieve maximum equipment and facility availability at controlled costs and acceptable quality. This position may also involve mentoring less experienced technicians, participating in equipment or facility upgrades, and supporting projects that enhance overall operational performance while maintaining compliance with all safety and environmental standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Follow and maintain all EHS and safety standards and procedures.
- Independently execute repairs on a wide range of equipment, including hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Perform equipment overhauls, rebuilds, and installations.
- Follow preventive maintenance plans and perform routine corrective maintenance to maximize equipment and facility availability.
- Perform tasked based on facility needs (change light bulbs, clean spills, etc.).
- Provide technical support to production teams, adjusting machine parameters to optimize processes.
- Maintain housekeeping and facility organization at a high standard.
- Program and troubleshoot VFDs, motor drivers, and similar controllers.
- Conduct root cause analysis and create “one-point lessons” for the team.
- Mentor less experienced technicians and share technical knowledge.
- Review and adjust maintenance plans to improve efficiency and reliability.
- Track and manage work orders using maintenance software.
- Complete assigned work orders and other duties as requested.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Level of Education Preferred: Completed Vocational Maintenance Technician Training (Electrics/Mechanics/Robots/PLC/similar), associate’s degree Industrial Mechanics / Electrics or related field with applicable maintenance training are desired.
Experience Required: 2 Year of Industrial Maintenance Experience
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS/EQUIPMENT OPERATIONS REQUIREMENT
- Ability to continuously stand, sit, walk, stoop, bend, push, pull, reach, grasp and lift (up to 50lbs) for up to 8 hours a day on a concrete floor (over 8 hours when working overtime)
- Ability to move around a manufacturing setting.
- Ability to work in small, confined spaces (only when necessary).
- Ability to work at extreme heights accompanied by required safety devices.
- Ability to operate various vibrating mechanical tools and equipment for extended periods of time.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Position may require occasional travel (domestic or foreign). Flexibility in working hours includes weekends, holidays, and off shift. Position may require on-call duty or overtime due to overall responsibility.
