SUMMER STUDENT JOB OPPORTUNITY

Document Scanning Clerk - IT & Communications - 12 weeks

Salary Range: $20.00 per hour

JOB SUMMARY:

The purpose of this position is to serve as a Scanning Clerk responsible for accurately scanning and uploading organizational documents into Sagamok’s cloud-based file storage system in a timely and organized manner.

POSITION DUTIES:

  • Report directly to the Director and Lead Student for daily tasks and priorities.
  • Scan physical documents and files into the organization’s cloud-based storage system in a timely manner.
  • Assist with organizing source documentation for proper filing and retrieval.
  • Support electronic archiving processes to ensure records are accurate, complete, and well-maintained.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive organizational information.
  • Use MS Office, Windows, and internet-based systems to manage and organize digital files.
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy in document naming, categorization, and storage.
  • Assist with additional administrative and records management tasks as assigned.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

  • Preference will be given to members or residents of Sagamok Anishnawbek
  • Valid driver’s license is an asset
  • Must sign and comply with confidentiality requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must demonstrate enrollment as a full-time student in the previous academic semester school and be returning full time in the fall of 2026/2027 Academic school year.
  • Must be eligible for Sagamok Anishnawbek ISETP program funding (member of Sagamok, valid SIN #)
  • Must have, or be willing to obtain First Aid, WHIMIS, & Health and Safety in 4 Steps
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, and email software
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision, and able to work flexible hours (evenings, weekends) and be self-motivated.
  • Knowledge of and respect for Anishnawbek values, teachings, culture, and traditions is of critical importance.
