About This Position
Performs and calculates 2D/M-Mode and color flow doppler echocardiograms and assists in other non-invasive areas when necessary. Performs peripheral vascular studies. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served; also demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interprets the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age specific needs, and to provide the care needed. Accepts other responsibilities as are delegated to assure optimum patient care. Works under the direct supervision of the clinic manager and cardiologist.
Performance Expectations:
Performance expectations will be covered in the orientation and precepted phases of orientation to your job. Demonstrate aptitude with equipment including, but not limited to, Multi-line phone system, Windows based computers, Epic software, Health stream, printers, fax, copier, manual/digital blood pressure monitor, Vivid E90 Echo machine, Parks Flo-Lab, Vidistar software. Demonstrate aptitude with proper telephone etiquette and communications skills. Must be able to enter complete detailed documentation into Epic. Demonstrate aptitude obtaining echocardiographic images based on echo protocols, submitting images to Vidistar for physician interpretation. Maintain QC records for accreditation. Echo/Vascular tech will demonstrate aptitude obtaining peripheral vascular images based on peripheral vascular protocols, submit images to Vidistar/PACS for provider interpretation. Maintain QC records for accreditation. Demonstrate aptitude with efficiency and teamwork. When your tasks are complete, assist coworkers or ask manager for additional tasks. Demonstrate aptitude and desire to cross train for other positions within the clinic. Cross trained employees enables our department to provide quality, efficient, effective care to our patients.
Qualifications: Education/SkillsHigh school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree in radiology strongly preferred.
Work Experience:2D/M-Mode and color Doppler, and peripheral vascular experience required.
Additional Certification/Licensure - Obtained based on required timeframe below- Basic Life Support (Within 30 Days of Employment Required)
- ARDMS/CCI Registered (Within 180 Days of Employment Required)
