Seasonal Helper
Department: Facilities - School Facility Management LLC or ServiceFM, LLC
Reports To: Assigned supervisor
Employment Type: Hourly (Non-Exempt)
Pay Rate: Based on skills and experience (starting at $16/hour for high school students)
Benefits: Not eligible for company benefits
Job Summary:
The Seasonal Helper is an entry-level position that provides support to maintenance, cleaning, and facilities operations during school break periods (summer, spring, and winter). This role includes general cleaning, event setup and breakdown, and light maintenance tasks. Candidates should demonstrate physical stamina, a positive attitude, and strong customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Includes, but is not limited to:
- Assist maintenance technicians by carrying tools, materials, and supplies
- Prepare work areas and clean job sites and equipment upon completion
- Use basic hand tools such as hammers, pliers, screwdrivers, and similar tools
- Support grounds maintenance activities, including debris removal, grass cutting, pressure washing, and general surface cleaning
- Perform janitorial duties, including cleaning, floor care, and event setup and breakdown
- Assist with light maintenance tasks such as demolition, drywall work, and painting (including surface preparation, sanding, patching, and painting)
- Move and relocate furniture within and between facilities
- Complete daily electronic time sheets (phone or computer)
- Follow supervisor instructions and complete assigned tasks as directed

Work Requirements:
- Minimum age: 16 years old
- High school and college students are encouraged to apply
- Reliable transportation required
- Ability to work in a smoke-free environment
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (E-Verify required)
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs (intermittently)
- Frequent bending, twisting, standing, walking, repetitive motion, and ladder use
- Must be able to remain active and on your feet for extended periods during shifts
