Job Description

Sarnova is the leading national specialty distributor of health care products in Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and Respiratory Markets and is the industry leader in Revenue Cycle Management within Emergency Medical Services (EMS). Summary:

The Sarnova Technology PM will perform all necessary duties to ensure the cross-divisional collaboration and efficient process execution for the entire life cycle of projects within the technology organization. The initial focus of this role will be managing the D365 F&O ERP implementations for each business unit over the next several years.

Responsible for planning and overseeing all aspects of projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget. Plans and designs project resources, sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, prepares budgets, monitors progress, and keeps stakeholders informed throughout the project lifecycle. This position is responsible for overall project coordination and success, along with performing hands-on technical responsibilities and tasks as needed/required. This project leader will also participate in and potentially lead other strategic initiatives as outlined in our corporate OGSM (long-term strategy).

Organizational Impact:

Sarnova has committed to investing heavily in technology and plans to upgrade several foundational platforms as we continue our digital transformation. One of the first major technology projects is replacing its current ERP platform (Dynamics GP) with D365 F&O in all four business units over the next several years. The successful implementation of this platform will improve our operational efficiency, as well as, position us for the growth we expect in the future. This has been identified as a key capacity and infrastructure initiative for Sarnova. This, in conjunction with other foundational technology improvements, will enable us to better serve our customers while also creating a competitive advantage.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop & maintain a detailed project plans that encompass all disciplines involved with the project
  • Work with internal teams and external consultants to determine project scope and priorities, develop project plans and deliverable schedules, align resources, prepare status updates and variance reports, and negotiate changes to plans
  • Serve as a liaison to IT management, reporting on the status of current projects, identifying issues and assessing their impact, and proactively recommending solutions
  • Manage several concurrent projects, from planning through implementation
  • Responsible for hands-on technical responsibilities and support as needed such as testing, and troubleshooting issues related to implemented code and/or applications
  • Coordinate project milestone reviews
  • Responsible for tracking project changes and produce updated schedules as agreed with relevant parties.
  • Complete follow-up items on projects, including administrative & summary documentation
  • Involved with other systems and programs as related/integrated with the ERP platform (D365 F&O)
  • Document and maintain project plans using agreed upon software/tools; manages and monitors project budgets and expenditures
  • On a continual basis, analyze business processes, systems and applications and recommend changes to improve operational efficiencies
  • Support project sponsors during the lifecycle of their project
  • Coordinate & conduct project kickoff/cadence meetings
  • Assign tasks, manage workloads and provide clear direction to team members
  • Facilitate team meetings
  • Foster a positive work environment and resolve conflicts
  • Set performance goals, conduct reviews and provide constructive feedback
  • Mentor and train employees to enhance their skills and career growth
  • Assist management in the hiring of new employees
  • Additional job duties as assigned

Skills/Experience Required:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, business or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of previous ERP project related experience required; previous supervisory experience preferred
  • Project Management (PMP) Certification or equivalent related experience
  • Technical proficiency with ERP systems; D365 F&O strongly preferred
  • Critical thinking and analytical skills to solve problems efficiently
  • Capable of working independently with minimum supervision
  • Ability to work effectively with project teams and prepare project presentations
  • Ability to develop strong relationships and work effectively with employees at all levels
  • Knowledge of corporate accounting practices and business processes and how those practices are implemented within the ERP platform
  • Ability to work efficiently and collaboratively and juggle multiple projects
  • Proficient research and analytical capabilities
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with people at all levels within the company as well as with customers and various outside agencies
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency with O365 suite, as well as Project Management software/tools
  • Ability to adapt to changing environments and handle multiple tasks
