Compensation: Starting at $30.00/hour and up, depending on experience
About the Role
We’re hiring a skilled CNC Metal Forming Technician to support sheet metal fabrication operations. This position focuses on the setup, programming, and operation of CNC press brake machines to produce high-precision formed components.
This is a hands-on role suited for someone who understands fabrication processes, material characteristics, and can independently manage machine setups while ensuring consistent quality output in a production environment.
Key Duties & Responsibilities- Set up and operate CNC press brake machines for production runs
- Load and manage machine programs via the CNC control interface
- Select appropriate tooling, dies, and materials based on job requirements
- Read and interpret blueprints, bend allowances, and technical drawings
- Inspect parts during production using measuring tools to ensure accuracy
- Identify and resolve forming issues such as springback or tooling wear
- Make adjustments to machine settings and tooling to maintain precision
- Perform routine equipment checks and basic preventative maintenance
- Track production data including materials, quantities, and setup details
- Follow all safety standards and maintain an organized work area
- Work independently while making informed decisions related to quality and workflow
- At least 5 years of experience operating CNC press brakes or similar metal forming equipment
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and fabrication prints
- Experience working with materials such as stainless steel, aluminum, and galvanized steel
- Skilled in using measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers
- Strong troubleshooting ability and mechanical aptitude
- Solid math and measurement skills
- Physically able to lift up to 50–75 lbs and perform repetitive tasks (standing, bending, etc.)
- Willingness to work in varying shop conditions, including temperature fluctuations
- Experience with modern CNC control interfaces (graphical systems)
- Previous manual press brake experience
- Strong attention to detail and ability to stay organized in a fast-paced setting
