Summary

Initiates and follows through on inquiries, appeals and denials from carriers. This description covers the essential functions of the position. Key Roles & Responsibilities

· Responsible for the day to day billing of medical claims for clients accounts

· Works with clients on billing and registration

· Communicates with patients

· Communicates with insurance companies on billing issues

· Completes appeals on a daily basis

· Completes unpaid claims in a timely manner

· Completes all payment posting for clients in a timely manner

· Candidate is a team player with co workers

· Candidate must be detail oriented and organized

· All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

· Experience with ICD-9 and CPT codes a must

· Experience with outlook and Microsoft word a plus

· Ability to prioritize and communicate clearly

· Ability to work independently and in a team environment

• Medical billing experience with significant exposure to ambulatory medical billing practices and procedures

· Ensures compliance with billing policies and procedures

· Maintains currency in billing requirements

· Prompt reliable attendance

· Maintains integrity of UH | CNMG's systems, equipment and business

· Commitment to customer service with a pleasant, professional telephone demeanor

· Adherence of UH | CNMG's confidentiality agreement
