JOB DESCRIPTION/TYPICAL TASK BREAKDOWN:

• Create and update work instructions, tooling setup sheets, and other process documentation (process drawings, APQP documentation, etc.)
• Work directly on the shop floor to observe machining steps and verify processes
• Support machinist technicians with process improvement opportunities, process clarification, and troubleshooting
• Assist with cycle time studies, scrap reduction, and workflow improvements
• Help document root cause findings to quality issues
• Assist in documenting results of 5S and other continuous improvement activities

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 2 years in this capacity is a must

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Basic understanding of machining, cutting tools, and GD&T
• Strong attention to detail and clear technical writing skills
• Comfortable working directly with machinist technicians and production teams
• Willingness to learn and grow in a fast paced manufacturing environment
• Experience with modeling and drawing in NX, Inventor, Creo, or other CAD systems etc.
• Experience in Python programming.
• Internship or project experience in machining or manufacturing
