Certified Central Processing Technician Position Summary
The Certified Central Processing Technician has met all the requirements of becoming and maintaining a IAHCSMM certification. This position requires the responsibility and availability to work independently and unsupervised. The Technician must demonstrate superior technical skills and knowledge of all Central Processing functions without quality concerns. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the decontamination, prep pack, sterilization, and distribution of supplies and equipment used for patient care throughout TidalHealth. The Technician is capable of handling advanced assignments when assigned. Due to the nature of this position, the individual must strictly adhere to Infection Control and Universal Precaution policies, procedures and guidelines.
Certified Central Processing Technician Position Requirements
Education
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification as Central Sterile Technician
Experience
• One year of Central Processing experience.
• 400 on-the-job hours in Central Processing.
Certified Central Processing Technician Benefits
