Lead Technician – Handyman / Home Repair (TruBlue of Kenosha)
Location: Kenosha, WI
Position Type: Full-Time
TruBlue of Kenosha is looking for an experienced Lead Technician to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, can lead jobs independently, and delivers a professional, customer-focused experience on every project.
You will be responsible for completing a variety of residential repair and improvement projects while representing the TruBlue brand in customers’ homes.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and complete handyman and home repair projects from start to finish
- Communicate clearly with customers on scope, progress, and expectations
- Diagnose issues and recommend practical solutions in the field
- Perform high-quality work across multiple trades
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site
- Ensure customer satisfaction on every job
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in residential construction or handyman work
- Strong drywall repair and finishing skills (patching, taping, mudding, sanding)
- Experience with door and trim installation, minor framing, and general carpentry
- Light plumbing (fixtures, sinks, toilets, minor repairs)
- Light electrical (fixtures, switches, outlets)
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently
- Comfortable using common tools and equipment
- Responsible and dependable – shows up on time and follows through
- Customer service-oriented – professional, respectful, and communicates well
- Problem solver – can assess situations and make sound decisions on-site
- Takes ownership of work and holds a high standard of quality
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a background check
- Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and work on ladders
