Manual Machinist at Soles Enterprises LLC – Fairmont, West Virginia

Soles Electric is looking for a talented Manual Machinist to join their team in Fairmont, WV. This person would primarily be responsible for assisting with machining, fabrication and maintenance of the machine shop.

The ideal candidate will possess 2 years previous experience, or Vo Tech/ Tech School training.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Assembly of new and repaired valve actuators & gearboxes
• Set up and operate lathes/milling machines.
• OD & ID threading
• Read blueprints and create simple drawings.
• Use all types of micrometers to maintain tolerances.
• Reverse engineer simple parts.
• Machine multiple types of materials; bronze, steel, aluminum.
• Operate tow motor, cranes, presses, and other related equipment.

• 2+ years of machining experience
• Ability to read and understand job work orders
• Familiarity with 3 & 4 jaw chucks
• Basic math skills
• Mechanical aptitude
• Ability to be a team player and help other departments when needed
• Welding is a plus
