Event Cleaning Crew Member at Bass Road Sports and Entertainment LLC – Fort Wayne, Indiana

Position Summary

We are looking for dependable individuals to be part of our post-event cleaning crew in the new 9000+ seat Ruoff Mortgage Stadium.

Typical hours are post event, however, arrival time will be around 9:00 p.m. with end time around midnight. Some positions are available for daytime, to ensure the stadium is ready for event. These hours would typically be from 4:00-6:00 p.m.

Fort Wayne FC home matches run mostly on Saturday evenings from May 2 through October 24, with a few Wednesday matches. Additional stadium event dates will vary.

Essential Responsibilities

• Empty garbage cans around the facility and haul to dumpster.
• Pick up general trash throughout the stadium, concourse and buildings.
• Wiping down seats from dust or rain.
• Clean restrooms, locker rooms, and suite/VIP spaces.
• Be flexible and adjust to situations as they occur.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Must have attention-to-detail, work both independently and with a crew, and be able to take direction from supervisor or upper management; able to spot areas that need special attention for cleaning.
• Must be able to work quickly and diligently to get the tasks done within the timeframe.

Experience and Training

• Applicants must be 16 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work at least 75% of the scheduled FWFC events within the required arrival and end times as established by supervisor.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Physical Demands:

• Able to walk, climb stairs, stand, grasp, reach, bend and stoop.
• Able to lift, carry, and/or push up to 20 pounds as necessary.

Work Environment:

• Able to work in an outdoor environment with exposure to heat, cold, rain, wind, and other weather conditions.
• Must be able to work irregular hours including nights, weekends and/or holidays, as needed.

Event Attire

Event day staff will be provided with a designated event staff shirt and will need to wear their own black pants or long shorts (based on an approved attire list). Comfortable shoes are suggested.
