Mail Processor at Taxing Authority Consulting Services P.C. – Henrico, Virginia

Taxing Authority Consulting Services, P.C. is a Virginia law firm with a focus in its practice to serve only government entities in managing accounts receivable, tax assessments, and the general revenue cycle. Our firm’s extensive experience in collection, bankruptcy, and assessment matters offers our clients full-service representation related to their receivables.

The Mail Processor will handle, sort, and distribute all incoming mail and correspondence.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Organize mail and packages by department destination.
- Loading and unloading mail and packages.
- Deliver mail to the appropriate department.
- Use machinery to process mail and operate a sorting machine.
- Prepare outgoing mail, including the creation of shipping labels and weighing packages.
- Conduct database research as necessary to apply correct reference numbers.
- Maintain records of processed mail, and report discrepancies.
- Assist with employee and client inquiries via phone and email.
- Use internet resources to scan mail to computers.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to operate mail processing equipment.
- Basic computer skills including MS Office and Internet.
- Ability to perform tasks with minimal supervision.

Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Proven work experience in administrative accounting or similar roles.

Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent

Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing.
- Must be able to lift 30 pounds at times.
- Must access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
