SUMMARY AND PURPOSE:
Perform a variety of machine assembly operations working from engineering drawings and specifications.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide a variety of machine assembly functions utilizing hand tools (drills, grinders, band saws, sockets/wrenches) from engineering drawings following documented procedures.
- Fabricate parts, set-up and adjust machinery.
- Work as a team in assembly operations
- Assure routine inspection functions are performed following documented procedures.
- Collaborate with Electrical and Engineering personnel to troubleshoot equipment, make changes, etc.
- Complete electronic labor reporting
- Advise and assist other assemblers in assembly operations and procedures.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the assembly team and its function.
- Perform other related duties as required by management.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Experience:
- One to three years’ experience in similar industry/custom machine-building manufacturing experience desired.
- Skills:
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to operate hand tools.
- Ability to read assembly drawings.
