Gestion Zagora is a young and dynamic company specializing in property management. For over 5 years, we have owned and managed multiple rental buildings in Montreal, on the South Shore, in Gatineau, and in Quebec City. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Senior Accountant to oversee our accounting operations and support the financial management of our real estate portfolio.
Responsibilities:
Accounting operations management: Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll accounting, and bookkeeping to ensure accurate and rigorous financial management.
Financial reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to provide management with valuable financial insights.
Compliance and audits: Ensure compliance with accounting and tax standards, coordinate with external auditors, and prepare all required documentation for annual audits.
Financial analysis: Perform analyses to support decision-making and improve the financial performance of the properties.
Team supervision: Guide and train accounting staff as needed.
Profile sought:
Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a similar role, ideally in real estate or asset management.
Education: Degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (CPA designation is an asset).
Skills:
Expertise in accounting management with knowledge of IFRS standards and Canadian tax regulations.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting software.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills to present financial information clearly.
Languages: Bilingual (French and English) required.
