ABOUT THE ROLE:

Provide technical input and support of system projects. Complete the installation of system equipment and ensure applications/solutions are functioning according to specifications. Support senior Solution Delivery Engineers in the field with installation and configuration of highly sophisticated system solutions. Participate in pre-sales presentations, product demonstrations, and interact with the customers and /or users in a professional manner. Assist Solution Delivery Support Engineering staff with system staging as needed.

What makes a successful Solution Delivery Engineer Level 1?

  • Participate in both pre-sale and post-sale technical support activities including, but not limited to, assessment of client needs, preparation of products for installation.
  • Assist with the creation of system design documents meeting customer requirements and support all aspects of the project through completion.
  • Serve as technical liaison between the project management office, development engineering, manufacturing operations, and the customer's technical staff.
  • Ability to read and understand the contents of agreements and contracts that pertain to the project under management.
  • Participate in the design review process as required.
  • Support system level trouble shooting with technical skill and the ability to problem solve.
  • Complete the installation of system equipment at client locations, including completion of IT cabling as required.
  • Ensure accurate and timely system testing and recording of faults as required by the project.
  • Support the development of system design documentation including, but not limited to, as-built system documentation, customer needs assessment, requirements trace matrix, acceptance test procedures, bills of materials, installation and commissioning documents, and detailed upgrade procedures.
  • Assess and respond to situations where standard procedures have failed in isolating or fixing problem equipment; collaborate with other teams as needed to devise solutions.
  • Ability to learn accurate documentation of project and QA records including, but not limited to, fault records, test result sheets, configured records, and technical documentation.
  • Provide technical support to the Project Manager and be able to converse with the customer, system sales, the development engineering function and manufacturing to ensure the customer’s technical requirements are met.
  • Complete detailed task list, track labor hours produce progress reports, both orally and in writing to the Project Manager
  • Report design, reliability, maintenance problems and product manual corrections/improvements to engineering for review via an engineering change process system and through direct consultation as assigned.
  • On an occasional basis may be required to conduct reseller and end-user training programs.
  • Support senior Solution Delivery Engineers in the planning, execution, monitoring, and documentation of laboratory assignments necessary for the verification of customer issues and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Required to perform the job functions in a safe manner.

  • Ability to travel overnight
  • Ability to Travel Internationally, mainly in North-America and Latin America

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: The following list of requirements are considered the minimum levels of education and experience necessary to perform this job successfully. Any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job is acceptable.

  • Minimum two to three (1-2) years of hands-on experience in a related field, or Associate's degree in Electronics and Computer Sciences or equivalent, and some other customer facing experience.
  • Or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent expertise.
