Blau & Associates oversees the Food and Beverage operations at Parq Casino including: Honey Salt, The Victor, and D/6 Bar & Lounge. Parq Casino features two luxury hotels, downtown's only casino, diverse restaurants and lounges, a 30,000 square foot park with native trees located 6 floors above street level and many more amenities. The Line Cook is primarily responsible for the preparation, assembly and cooking of food items for a specific kitchen station. The Line Cook will promote the Parq Vancouver facility and act as a positive role model and representative of Blau & Associates. The Line Cook continually strives for 100% guest satisfaction.

QUALIFICATIONS
The Line Cook must:
Have had 2+ years of experience in a similar environment including a hotel, restaurant, catering or other fast paced high-volume establishment.Have basic knife skillsHave a valid Foodsafe Level 1 certificate. A red seal certificate would be considered an assetBe able to obtain and maintain a GPEB licenseHave an excellent command of both spoken and written English. Knowledge of a 2nd language would be considered an assetHave an solid understanding of different cuisines and food preparation methodsHave a detailed product knowledge and effectively handle all inquiries including food suggestions, dietary, food sensitivity or allergy requirements Have solid problem solving, decision making, customer service, communication and sales skillsManage inventory and proper product use to eliminate waste and spillageHave detailed knowledge of the Vancouver area including Parq Vancouver amenities, services and local attractionsBe able to stand for extended periods of time, reach, bend and stoop repeatedlyBe able to frequently lift and carry up to 44 poundsWe look forward to hearing form you!
