PCBs Test Engineer (Aerospace)- Relocation Assistance
$120,000 - $140,000 a year
Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented PCB Test Engineer to design, develop, and execute testing for printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs). The ideal candidate has experience in aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated industries, with a strong focus on reliability, quality, and compliance. This role will support product development, qualification, and production testing to ensure electronic assemblies meet performance, safety, and environmental requirements.
Responsibilities:- Test Development & Validation
- Develop and implement test strategies for PCB and PCBA validation.
- Design test plans, test cases, and acceptance criteria for new and existing products.
- Develop functional, environmental, and reliability test procedures.
- Support design verification and validation (DV/VT) testing.
- Test Equipment & Automation
- Design, build, and maintain test fixtures and test stations.
- Develop automated test solutions using LabVIEW, Python, or similar tools.
- Integrate test hardware including oscilloscopes, signal generators, power supplies, and DAQs.
- Improve test coverage and efficiency through automation and process improvements.
- Debugging & Failure Analysis
- Troubleshoot PCB and system-level failures down to component level.
- Perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions.
- Work closely with design engineers to resolve design and manufacturing issues.
- Support engineering change and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Compliance & Documentation
- Generate test reports, procedures, and technical documentation.
- Ensure compliance with aerospace and quality standards (AS9100, IPC, MIL-STD).
- Support qualification, certification, and audit activities.
- Maintain configuration control and traceability of test processes.
- Production & Cross-Functional Support
- Support manufacturing test processes and yield improvements.
- Collaborate with Quality, Manufacturing, and Design teams.
- Assist in transitioning products from prototype to production.
