Description:

SFCC is seeking an Administrative Assistant for our Lake of the Ozarks campus. This position provides comprehensive administrative support to campus leadership, faculty, staff, and students. This position supports daily office operations by managing administrative processes, handling data and documentation, and serving as a primary point of contact for students, staff, and the public. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while ensuring accurate records, timely communications, and efficient front-office service in a student-focused environment.


-Completes data entry requests, processes written correspondence, maintains reports, files, and mailings lists.

-Develops and maintains simple spreadsheets, files and copies information.

-May prepare requisitions, receive orders, process shipments, or maintain inventory.

-Serves as front line reception and answers telephones, route calls, make appointments, greets customers and answers information requests from walk-in traffic and e-mail correspondence.

-Maintains information files and processes paperwork.

Education: High School diploma or equivalent required. Associates Degree or Certificate in Office Administration preferred.

Experience: Two years’ experience in office management with expertise in Microsoft Office software programs and computer information systems preferred.

-Knowledge of: Advanced administrative and clerical procedures and systems to include: word processing, managing files and records, developing spreadsheets and databases.

-Ability to: Manage office activity and workflow to maximize efficiency.

-Communicate effectively by telephone, written form, e-mail, or in person.

-Communicate effectively with people outside of the organization to include: customers, students, and vendors.

-Use computer system to set up functions, enter data and record and maintain information in written or electronic form.

-Generate reports, assist with events and meetings.

-Perform proper use of office equipment such as copiers, fax machines, and printers.

-Work independently.

PHYSICAL TASKS AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS –Work involves sedentary to light work in an office setting. There is frequent sitting, with walking, standing and stooping occasionally required. There is an occasional need to lift objects (up to 20 pounds) and perform other similar actions during the course of the workday. Employee accommodations for physical or mental disabilities will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
