Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Cashier/Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and a passion for providing exceptional service in a retail environment.
Responsibilities:
• Greet customers and provide them with friendly and efficient service
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process transactions accurately
• Handle cash, credit, and check transactions with precision
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
• Assist customers with product inquiries and provide product demonstrations
• Utilize upselling techniques to increase sales
• Ensure pricing is accurate and promotions are applied correctly
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Experience:
• Previous experience in a retail or grocery store setting is preferred
• Proficiency in cash handling and basic retail math
• Excellent communication etiquette to communicate with customers and team members
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer needs

Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Excellent time management skills
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office Suite
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and customer service skills, with the ability to assist shoppers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain cleanliness standards.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently, taking initiative to complete tasks.
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
