POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Performs the carpentry duties necessary to maintain in good repair building woodwork and equipment such as bins, cribs, counters, benches, partitions, doors, floors, stairs, casings, and trim made of wood. Work involves use of standard hand and power carpentry tools to measure, cut, assemble, and finish work including painting or texturing. Responsible for selection of materials required for the job and application and use of established safety equipment and materials.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Must have demonstrated satisfactory skills and good performance as a Carpenter. Must have two years progressive experience as a Carpenter and have graduated from a two year resident course at a vocational institute or a recognized apprenticeship program or a total of five years progressive experience as a Carpenter. Must possess a valid driver’s license. Applicant selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Work will include associated cross-utilization into other jobs as required. May require some overtime and/or weekend work.
