About This Position
G‑3 Chickadee—formerly part of Goodyear Chemical—is undergoing a major transformation. As a newly independent, Private Equity–backed organization, we are modernizing our infrastructure, implementing new systems (SAP, MES, cybersecurity), and building a strong operational foundation for continued growth.
We are seeking a Raw Material Planner to handle raw material supply chain management activities and will coordinate and implement supply plans to meet operational requirements. The RM planner will evaluate and optimize the complex deliveries to keep material availability high and costs low. As well, they will manage materials, information, financial & raw material projections in a network consisting of suppliers, manufacturers, distributors & internal stakeholders.
What You'll Do:
- Create, enhance & maintain raw material tracking tools to improve daily, monthly, quarterly & annual volume and financial forecasts that provide critical planning information to the commercial, finance, production & supply chain teams. Maintain plans to drive efficiency in forecasting and planning
- Proactively identify supply chain solutions and provide raw material supply chain coordination & optimization. Ensure the proper execution of the raw material supply chain function, from origin to plant delivery to vendor payment. Monitor and analyze complex and multi-dimensional pipeline and trucking material flows to ensure optimal cost, while mitigating material availability risk.
- Simultaneously manage multiple raw material accounts to support supply activities, to include relationship management, account setups, invoice management, POs, exchange statements, payment process management, and demurrage analysis and tracking. Independently assess accounts and provide guidance to purchasing on best path to improved supply.
- Ensure inventory accuracy and align with accounting and purchasing on any discrepancies. Follow proper processes surrounding administrative duties of raw material management.
- Manage and mitigate raw material supply disruptions (planned or unplanned)
- Process invoices as necessary in transportation management system (TMS) and or SAP/vendor invoice management (VIM) and manage past due PO’s.
- Work with purchasing on PO and outline agreement discrepancies/ errors due to price, qty and vendor blocks. Investigate/manage the open PO and delivery reports for assigned materials.
- Build relationships with suppliers, transportation providers and terminal partners.
What You'll Bring
Required:
- Bachelor's degree, or in lieu of a degree, 5+ years of materials management, materials coding processing, and supplier relations
- 4+ years of experience in materials management, materials coding processing, and supplier relations
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Inventory Management, Purchasing, or Supply Chain desired.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably chemical manufacturing.
