The AT&T Performing Arts Center is a nonprofit foundation that operates and programs a 10-acre campus comprised of three premier performance venues and a park in downtown Dallas. Audiences enjoy the best and most recent from Broadway; the finest dance companies from across the globe co-presented with TITAS Presents; and top concerts, performers, and cutting-edge speakers. Thousands of students explore and more deeply experience the arts through the Center’s education program, Open Stages. The Human Resources Manager serves as a key partner to leadership and staff, overseeing core Human Resources functions and driving initiatives that support a high-performing, engaged workplace. This role blends strategic thinking with hands-on execution, requiring a proactive, highly organized professional who excels at building trust, managing complex priorities, and delivering consistent, high-quality results. The ideal candidate brings strong judgment, initiative, and the ability to operate both independently and collaboratively across the organization.
This position is a detail-oriented, highly organized team player with excellent interpersonal skills who works seamlessly and efficiently with AT&T Performing Arts Center staff. Essential skills include the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism. Must be a self-starter and work autonomously using independent judgment. A positive attitude towards the position and the Center’s Core Values is imperative.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Lead and manage a full-cycle recruitment strategy aligned with organizational goals and staffing needs
- Partner with department leaders to define hiring requirements, assess candidate qualifications, and guide selection decisions
- Coordinate and participate in interviews
- Conduct new hire orientation and ensure a seamless onboarding experience
Training & Development Leadership
- Design and develop a training curriculum that supports organizational priorities, including onboarding, compliance, and skill-building programs
- Facilitate training sessions for individuals and groups, ensuring content is engaging, practical, and aligned with business needs
- Evaluate training effectiveness and refine programs based on feedback and outcomes
- Partner with managers to identify skill gaps and recommend targeted development solutions
Employee Experience & Culture Initiatives
- Lead initiatives that enhance workplace culture, employee satisfaction, and organizational cohesion
- Plan and execute an annual calendar of staff events that support engagement and connection
- Manage the annual employee engagement survey process, including communication, data review, and action planning support
- Oversee the employee recognition program and related communications
HR Operations & Compliance
- Serve as a resource for employee benefits, providing guidance on eligibility and enrollment
- Support payroll processing and time/attendance administration with accuracy and confidentiality
- Maintain compliant and organized employee records and HR documentation
- Ensure HR policies, procedures, and practices are consistently applied and updated as needed
- Provide administrative and operational support to ensure efficient HR service delivery
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in Human Resources
- Minimum three to seven years of experience in an HR role with increasing responsibility
- Demonstrated experience managing or leading recruitment processes
- Experience developing and delivering training programs
- Experience with payroll processing; Paylocity experience preferred
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position has no direct reports but holds significant functional ownership. The role typically offers a hybrid schedule with remote work on most Fridays (subject to change based on business needs).
