ABOUT DONUM DEI CLASSICAL ACADEMY
Donum Dei Classical Academy opened in August 2019 in the Bernal Heights neighborhood of San Francisco. Our mission is to impart a rich classical Christian curriculum full of Scriptural truth and life-giving experiences — nourishing students’ hearts, souls, minds, and bodies to grow in knowledge, wisdom, good character, and Christ-like virtue worthy of bringing glory to God. We serve preschool through 8th grade through our Academy program and The Nest.

As we invite students to step into everything they are designed to be and do, our faculty and staff must also reflect and invest in our daily work of responding to God’s calling through an inner posture of discipline, diligence, and dedication.
The Communications & Marketing Coordinator is a full-time Advancement team member and the communications and brand engine for DDCA. This is a practitioner role — the person we hire will be the primary creator, writer, photographer, and digital marketer for Donum Dei, with work seen by current families, prospective families, donors, and the broader San Francisco community every week. They work in close daily partnership with the Advancement Director, Admissions Coordinator, Events Manager, and Registrar.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
CommunicationsStrategy & Planning
Build and maintain an annual communications plan aligned to the enrollment, fundraising, and events calendar; update each trimesterEstablish communications as a proactive institutional discipline — not reactive and ad hocCoordinate outbound communications from the Head of School, Advancement Director, and program areas (Musical Conservatory, Liberal Arts, Student Activities, Athletics)Track and report key metrics monthly: email open rates, social engagement, web traffic, lead inquiry volumeContent Creation & Internal Communications
Draft, design, and distribute Academy News on even weeks of each session (∼14–16 issues/year)Draft monthly Head of School letter to all families; write ad hoc all-school notices and announcementsDevelop all communications for Spring Gala, Giving Tuesday, year-end appeal, and annual fund campaignsCreate event-specific communications for Back-to-School Night, PENs, Grandparents’ Day, Convocation, Greatest Gift, Holy Week, and othersDraft and distribute weekly internal staff communication during the school yearDigital Marketing & Social Media

The pay range for this role is:55,000 - 65,000 USD per year(Campus)
