Designs, develops, or modifies products, applying engineering principles.

Determines feasibility of designs considering costs, time limitations, planning, and other technical and economic factors.

Conducts engineering studies on design for products, associated and subsystems components, and structures.

Analyzes engineering proposals, process requirements, and related technical data pertaining to design.

Requirements

  • Develop knowledge of the mechanical components of Double E’s product lines
  • Process orders and review customer applications to ensure products are properly specified.
  • Design products specific to customer applications and requirements.
  • Work closely with sales, customer service, purchasing and manufacturing departments to ensure product quality and on-time delivery.
  • Create CAD drawings and representations for customer orders and detail drawing for manufacturing and purchasing.
  • Perform engineering support for application engineers and product managers.
Requirements:
  • Must be organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical principles like torque, tension, loading and deflection
  • Good communication skills - able to work well in a team and communicate with customers.
  • Knowledge of 3D CAD/CREO/Solid Works
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Working knowledge of basic inspection equipment

Education and Experience

  • BSME or equivalent technical degree
  • 5+ years of experience
