  • JOB DESCRIPTION DETAILS
    • Job Summary:
      • With direction from and in collaboration with the Chief Nursing Officer, will develop and implement strategies to establish and promote professional nursing practice that is highly participative, evidence based, clinically excellent and collaborative. Provide leadership to the shared governance, nursing research, patient care documentation, peer review, and clinical ladder programs. Work within the nursing division as an integral part of the nursing leadership team to monitor and improve the quality of patient care. Responsible for designing and implementing a plan to move the organization towards Pathway to Excellence status. Provide oversight to the manager, patient interactive system administrator to ensure optimal implementation of Patient interactive network and other applications to ensure integration into work flow, patient care processes and service culture.
    • Education:
      • BSN or equivalent experience required
      • MSN, MBA, or MHA preferred
    • Registration/Certification/Licensure:
      • Registered Nurse Certification; State Licensure
    • Experience:
      • 3-5 years' acute care nursing experience in a Meditech hospital.
        Minimum of 5 years' of Leadership experience required.
        Strong project management experience with demonstrated ability to organize and manage complex projects required.
    • Other Requirements:
      • Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and/or any other department requirements.
      • Excellent computer skills. Demonstrated project management experience. Highly effective communication, problem solving, and negotiation skills. Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with hospital staff, physician and other leaders. Transformational leader who can inspire and motivate others to a higher level of professional practice. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
