MLS III at Central Peninsula Hospital – Soldotna, Alaska

POSITION SUMMARY: The Medical Laboratory Scientist III (Section Supervisor) performs and evaluates various laboratory tests on patient specimens providing data for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease, and provides supervision for designated areas of the laboratory. The section supervisor is responsible for validating, operating and maintaining equipment, and interprets patient and diagnostic data to evaluate the quality of patient specimens and testing results. The section supervisor maintains documentation to support regulatory compliance and certification for their assigned area and reports to the Laboratory Operations Manager.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's of Science in Medical Technology or related field
• 4 years of Clinical Lab experience
• National Registry as Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS)
