About This Position
We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented professional to assist with a wide range of accounting and financial reporting functions. This position is ideally for a self-confident, flexible individual that can adapt in a growing and changing environment. This individual must be self-motivated and able to manage accounts receivable, journal entries and inter-company accounting and financial reporting functions.
STAFF ACCOUNTANT RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Daily deposits and posting of cash.
- Investigating, challenging, and reconciling customer charge backs.
- Proactive customer communication and cash collections.
- Customer level account maintenance and reporting.
- Support, develop, and maintain effective communication and excellent relationships with coworkers, vendors, and internal customers.
- Ensure that requests for information and services are accurately responded to in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Manage intercompany offsets and ensure reconciliation.
- Month end close: calculate, review and process journal entries and A/R account reconciliations in accordance with GAAP and under the guidance of the Controller.
- Assist in Balance Sheet reconciliations.
- Assist in pulling of audit requests.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
STAFF ACCOUNTANT QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
- Internships or up to two years' experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable, or as an accounting clerk.
- Intermediate or above knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Accounts receivable and journal entry experience a plus.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Frequently required to sit, walk, and stand.
- Frequently use hands, arms, and fingers for high volume of typing, etc.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to twenty pounds.
