This unique opportunity allows you to gain hands-on special classroom experience while completing a free master’s degree in education with a specialization in Autism through Simmons University.

What You’ll Do:

  • Deliver direct instruction to special needs students
  • Support case management through data collection, lesson material development, and curriculum modification
  • Collaborate with teachers and specialists to implement individualized learning plans
  • Fellows work directly with students with autism and related disabilities to promote learning, independence, and inclusion across classroom settings.
  • Work closely with families to ensure consistent and supportive engagement.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education or related field
  • Interest in working with children or young adults with special needs
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Personal Vehicle required
  • Completion of NECC training, including CALM safety and de-escalation techniques
