Maintenance - Evergreen Knoll at HADC Services, LLC – Cloquet, Minnesota

Evergreen Knoll, the premier provider of assisted living and memory care services in the Cloquet area, is currently seeking applicants for Maintenance to help keep our buildings in excellent condition, ensuring our residents have a comfortable and enjoyable home and our staff have a healthy and safe place to work. This position is responsible for the general maintenance of the buildings and grounds of the Evergreen Knoll / Evergreen Senior Living campus.

Responsibilities include:

• preparing vacant units for occupancy (including painting, cleaning carpets, ensuring all unit amenities are working, etc.)
• completing work orders that may include minor plumbing and electrical
• conducting preventative and routine facility maintenance
• outdoor campus responsibilities to include lawn care, snow removal, shoveling sidewalks, etc.
• many other related duties and expectations
  

This is a full-time, M-F, day hours position that on occasion may necessitate evening and weekend hours for urgent facility issues that cannot wait until the next business day. We anticipate the hiring range for this position to be $20 - $24/hour DOQ, with benefit options to include health and dental insurance, a retirement plan with matching employer contributions, paid holidays, and paid time off.

The successful candidate must be able to:

• work positively and carefully with and around seniors
• work at and in any area of the buildings and grounds, inside or out, with minimal to moderate noise level, and exposure to cleaning and other chemicals
• have strong problem-solving skills and good judgement and dependability
• be able to read, write, speak, and understand English, having clear communication skills in order to interact effectively with others, especially the seniors that we serve
• stand, walk, push, pull, lift, climb, stoop, crouch, kneel, and other physically active maneuvering
• pass a criminal background study as determined solely by the State of Minnesota
• provide their own transportation for occasional errands related to the needs of the position and facility; as such, a driver's license and access to a personal vehicle, or other means of reliable transportation is required
  

Previous experience is preferred but if you are mechanically inclined, a self-starter, able to work independently once trained, and someone willing to jump in and learn, we'd love to hear from you!
