CDL Driver

Job Description/Responsibilities

Under supervision, operates a truck picking up steel sided flat bed or roll-off containers within specified area.

  • Wait to be loaded by either Alter or customer and drive loads to customer or Alter.
  • Drive semis around the yard while moving scrap material
  • May operate equipment within the yard, loading or moving scrap material
  • Wear all necessary PPE when working in the yard
  • Follow company safety standards at all times
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred but not required. Must have Class A CDL llicense and minimum 1-3 years verifiable experience. Candidate must be able to lift a minimum of 30-50 lbs. and 100+lbs on 2-person lift. General knowledge of difference between ferrous and non-ferrous material preferred and equipment experience preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: From $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
