Now Hiring: PRN Speech Therapist
Service Areas: Fairfax, Loudoun, and Prince William Counties, VA

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive speech therapy assessments in patients' homes.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient goals and physician directives.

• Deliver skilled interventions to improve communication, swallowing, and overall speech/language function.

• Educate patients and caregivers on techniques, strategies, and safety measures.

• Monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.

• Document clinical findings and interventions accurately and in a timely manner.

• Collaborate closely with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care.

• Maintain compliance with HIPAA, Medicare, and agency standards.

• Participate in continuing education to remain current with best practices.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited speech-language pathology program.

• Active license to practice in the state of Virginia.

• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience preferred, ideally in home health or skilled nursing settings.

• Strong assessment, planning, and treatment skills for adult and geriatric populations.

• Ability to recognize and respond to medical emergencies appropriately.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Experience with EMR systems; Kinnser/WellSky or Homecare Homebase preferred.

• Familiarity with OASIS documentation preferred.

• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license required.
