REGISTERED NURSE - WOUND CARE at Conway Medical Center – Conway, South Carolina

Position Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) will specialize in the proper management of wound care by treating and monitoring wounds that are the result of disease, injury, or medical treatments while spending 75% of time in the clinic and 25% performing consultations. The RN will provide care that will optimally and safely heal various types of wounds. The RN will be responsible for Initiating a nursing assessment of patient’s condition upon admission, record assessment data in an orderly fashion and communicate pertinent information, assess and determine classification, and measure wounds accurately, document a plan of care, in collaboration with Physician, for all assigned patients, and Implement wound care and HBO protocols as clinically indicated.

Education:

• Associates’ degree (ASN) in Nursing required.
• Bachelors’ degree (BSN) in Nursing preferred.

Experience:

• Two (2) years acute care experience required.
• One (1) year Wound care experience is preferred.

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

• Current South Carolina (or compact state) licensure as RN (SCLLR) in good standing required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required.
• Wound Care Certification (WCC) by an accredited Wound Care Certification Board preferred.
