Job Summary
Under the supervision of a Head Motor Equipment Repairer or higher classification Supervisor, the Motor Equipment Repairer is responsible for the maintenance and service of all gasoline and diesel-powered motorized equipment and vehicles across all DPW Divisions, including Streets, Parks, Cemetery, Water, and Wastewater. Makes roadside assistance calls to repair motorized DPW equipment or vehicles. Position requires extensive overtime in the winter months. Also responsible for overseeing and ensuring accurate maintenance of records and filing systems, following safety guidelines, and maintaining a safe work environment.
