Job Description

The Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) is seeking an experienced Recruitment Marketing Specialist to join the Virginia Talent Accelerator Program’s Talent Acquisition Services team. The ideal candidate will bring experience outlining and executing recruitment marketing tactics that drive talent attraction and hiring outcomes. This role focuses on a mix of media and recruitment marketing strategy and cross-functional collaboration. The successful candidate will have experience creating, utilizing, and efficiently implementing innovative and resourceful recruitment marketing tactics for talent attraction, engaging wide and diverse audiences to create a robust talent network for Talent Accelerator clients.

In addition to helping create talent attraction strategies and tactics, the Recruitment Marketing Specialist will collaborate with our in-house creative services and video teams to develop comprehensive recruitment marketing assets. The objective is to place the right ads in the right place while telling our clients' unique career stories plus lifestyle opportunities to attract individuals to our clients' Virginia locations.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with client talent acquisition and communication/brand teams on recruitment marketing initiatives
  • Develop and execute recruitment marketing campaigns aligned to active client requisitions
  • Collaborate with Virginia Talent Accelerator Program Creative and Video Services teams in the development of recruitment marketing assets and content for talent attraction efforts
  • Stay current on recruitment and marketing trends and apply insights to continuously improve talent attraction strategies
  • Audit and update Talent Accelerator developed client career sites to maintain alignment with corporate career pages and functionality
  • Organize and maintain employer brand assets as well as Talent Accelerator designed creative assets
  • Work with internal teams on website enhancements, SEO initiatives, and candidate experience improvements
  • Serve as point of contact and optimize relationships with recruitment marketing vendors, including job advertising platforms, and media partners
  • Manage recruitment marketing campaign schedules, creative submissions, proofs, and approvals
  • Ensure vendor strategies align with hiring priorities, monitor performance and ROI, manage campaign budgets, and provide data‑driven recommendations to improve recruitment marketing outcomes
  • Discover and present opportunities for clients to participate in local/industry hiring and outreach events to meet hiring goals
  • Develop engaging subject lines, calls‑to‑action, and content structure to increase open rates and click‑through rates
  • Translate hiring priorities and workforce needs into compelling, on‑brand newsletter content that drives awareness and interest in open roles
  • Track engagement metrics and apply insights to continuously improve outreach effectiveness and audience relevance

    • Skills:

  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written), organizational skills, and attention to detail 
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment 
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize work and effectively manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
  • Strategic thinking and project management skills 
  • Ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Strong project management and data-driven decision-making skills
  • Capabilities in writing and designing compelling communications that support employer branding and talent attraction
  • Proficiency utilizing web design platforms (WIX, WordPress, etc.) Google (Ads and Analytics), CRM, and/or related platforms for recruitment marketing is a significant plus

    • Experience:

  • At least 3 years of experience in talent acquisition, recruitment marketing, corporate brand management or a related role
  • Experience coordinating marketing campaigns across multiple channels

    • This hybrid position is based in VEDP’s Richmond office and requires employees to work in office at least three days per week.
